This website and the products sold by St Johns Candle & Body Co are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By purchasing and using our products, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the legal terms, warnings, and limitations of liability outlined below. 

1. Inherent Fire Hazard Warning & Assumption of Risk

  • Open Flame Risk: Candles involve an open flame. Purchasing our products represents your absolute assumption of risk associated with burning candles.
  • Safe Operation: You agree to strictly follow all safety instructions printed on the product packaging, warning labels, and company website.
  • Waiver of Liability: St Johns Candle & Body Co shall not be held liable or responsible for any damage, injury, loss, or expense—whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential—resulting from the burning, storage, or misuse of our products. 

2. Soot, Staining, and Property Damage

  • Proper Maintenance: Proper wick maintenance is required to prevent excessive soot and smoke.
  • Damage Waiver: We are not liable for soot damage, discoloration, smoke damage, or wax stains caused to walls, ceilings, furniture, fabrics, or any personal property.
  • Surface Protection: Always burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets. 

3. Handmade Variations and Scent Sensitivities

  • Natural Variance: Because our products are hand-poured, slight variations in appearance, color shifting, frosting, and minor surface imperfections are natural characteristics of the wax and do not constitute manufacturing defects.
  • Allergies & Sensitivities: Our candles use cotton wicks, fragrance oils and coconut-apricot  wax. If you have known respiratory issues, asthma, or fragrance allergies, consult a physician before use. We are not liable for adverse allergic or physical reactions to our fragrances.

4. Intellectual Property Notice

  • All content, logos, custom candle names, graphics, images, and text displayed on this website are the sole property of St Johns Candle & Body Co and are protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.
